Asiago and walnut green beans

Published: November 16, 2020 · Courtney Rushing

Asiago and walnut green beans
  • 2 large handfuls fresh green beans
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup Asiago cheese, freshly grated (you can sub fresh parmesan)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, toasted

Instructions

  1. Start by tossing the green beans with the oil, garlic, soy sauce, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Over medium high heat, add the green beans to a cast iron skillet or sauté pan. Let them set for a good 4 minutes- you want them to get charred.
  3. Begin to toss around and set for 4 minutes. Now, keep tossing for an additional 4 minutes and remove from pan.
  4. Grate the asiago over the top and add the toasted walnuts.
