BBQ Bacon Turkey Burgers

BBQ BACON TURKEY BURGERS

Patties

16 oz ground turkey 93/7

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbs BBQ sauce

Corn Salsa

125g whole kernel corn no salt added, drained and rinsed

40g red onion

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

1 lime, juiced

1/4 tsp salt

Caramelized onions

175 g white onion, sliced thin

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tbs chicken stock or water

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbs BBQ sauce

Toppings

52 grams pepper jack cheese (13 grams per patty)

Cilantro

Candied jalepenos

1 tbs BBQ sauce

4 slices turkey bacon lower sodium

Bun of choice

Dave’s Killer Bread Burger Buns Done Right Organic Burger Buns

(Macros for bun not included so you can add your own)

Directions

Start by caramelizing your onions in a pan prepped with olive oil spray over medium heat. Add the salt and pepper so they can sweat a bit. After about 5 mins when they become translucent, add the garlic and stock. Continue cooking until brown. Stir in the BBQ sauce and remove from heat.

In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the turkey patties and cook on a pan on medium heat until cooked through. Add your cheese on top so it can melt. I like to pop a lid on and add a dash of water in the pan so everything steams.

Once finished remove from pan and cook your turkey bacon until super crispy.

In a separate bowl, add the ingredients for the corn salsa.

That’s it! Pile everything on your burger bun and enjoy!
