Say hey hi hello to the best chicken sandwich you will ever eat.
I’m not going to tell you the story behind this sandwich. But just know it’s a highly popular sandwich at a restaurant near me and I just happened to run into the chef while I was grocery shopping for the recipe (literally he had on his chef coat at Walmart). I kid you not. While I have changed some things to keep their secret sauce, well, a secret. I can promise you, you will love every bit of this.
Ingredients
3 ciabatta rolls, lightly toasted
3 cloves garlic, minced
3, 4 oz chicken breast
1 tbsp (15g), light mayonnaise
3 tablespoon (60g), low sugar cranberry fruit spread (I used LOOV Organic)
3 slice light pepper jack cheese
21 g french fried onions
1 jalapeño, diced
Small handful of cilantro
S&P
Instructions
Start by seasoning your chicken breasts in the garlic and plenty of salt and pepper.
Grill until cooked throughly and add pepper jack cheese on top until it melts.
In a bowl, combine the mayo and the cranberry jelly.
Toast your ciabatta rolls and place the chicken and cheese onto.
Divide the ingredients amount the sandwiches. Add the jalepenos, followed by the French fried onions, then cilantro and top the top bun with the sauce.
